Seen “Burlesque“? Come learn more about the sizzling seduction that is the striptease! This no-nudity class designed for early interest in burlesque is a great introduction to the tease. Get a taste of burlesque movement and go home with a choreographed routine to help inspire your inner bombshell. Dress in clothing you can move in that shows off your curves, and feel free to get in the burlesque spirit with red lips and fishnet stockings! This class is also an optional pre-requisite to The Sequin Sessions.

Repertoire Noir

Tired of cheesecake pin-ups and doo-wop princesses? Looking for something a little naughtier? This class is all about getting down & dirty; the tension before the payoff! Learn about burlesque choreography and improvisation, as well as how to use your music to get the best reactions from your audience. A good portion of this class is spent using popular music for improv choreography, so please familiarize yourself with the following songs:

Powder & Rouge

One of the best things about burlesque is the transformation from girl to goddess that occurs when you step on stage. This class will teach you the basics of burlesque stage make-up [including glitter & eyelash application], as well as help you develop a look for your on-stage persona. Expect to leave with some goodies, but please come prepared with the items below:
• black liquid eyeliner
• black pencil eyeliner
• white pencil eyeliner
• foundation
• black mascara

The Sequin Sessions: The Fundamentals of Burlesque
5 Week Series
$150 single, $125 each for groups of two or more
Class limit: 8 students
Whether you want to strip for a crowd of one or one thousand, this series is perfect for any aspiring stripteuse.  Learn how to put together a stimulating burlesque act and create a burlesque persona, all the while learning the fundamentals of burlesque movement, costuming, and prop manipulation. There will be no nudity in this class: please come to the first session wearing something you can move in that shows off your curves! You’ll receive a syllabus explaining what you need for the course.
